The key to our coaching sessions is finding and eliminating the negative limiting beliefs and releasing the negative emotions (shame, fears, anxieties, embarrassment, etc.) that hold you back from feeling safe in social situations.
Together we’ll form a team to break unhelpful patterns and update old programming that no longer serves you. We aim to create new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving that facilitate you feeling totally comfortable and confident in social settings.
Our aim here is to release all the beliefs causing your subconscious mind to label social situations as dangerous.
From my limited experience, once this happens, your subconscious mind no longer fires off the fight, flight, freeze response and you will no longer experience anxiety in social situations.
By peeling away the layers of social anxiety you come to feel comfortable and at ease around others. As you feel safe to be yourself connecting will no longer be hard, or feel uncomfortable. Instead, connecting can feel warm and enjoyable. From this place it’s possible to create healthy friendships, have fun in social situations, live your potential, and create the life you want.
After just one session, those feelings of discomfort had completely vanished, I found myself feeling completely calm and relaxed in situations that had previously made me stiffen up, feel self conscious, awkward and generally very uncomfortable.
The results I have had have been amazing. After many years of trying various things in vain, I have seen spectacular results very quickly since working with sebastiaan.

It is common that during each session some of your negative emotions are being released, your beliefs be challenged and changed, and that some of your unhelpful patterns that are sabotaging you are being interrupted.
It is common to feel relief after the first session, but keep in mind that this is not a magic pill. You typically improve every session, and it is possible and common to feel a reduction in your social anxiety within a few weeks.
How long it exactly takes to be free of anxiety is impossible for me to predict as each person is unique and therefore each situation is different. It depends on how long you have been anxious, the severity and frequency of your anxiety, the causes to it, the amount of resistance you’re dealing with, and your current life circumstances, to name but a few determining factors.
Expecting to be anxiety-free after a single session when you have suffered from social anxiety for as long as you can remember is not realistic. This is not a quick-fix, but a powerful approach aimed at overcoming a big challenge that influences every area of your life.
To overcome this completely likely takes time, effort, and dedication.
As we work through the underlying problems of your social anxiety, it’s likely that not just your social anxiety lessens and disappears, but that other areas of your life start to improve as well.
You may find your self esteem rising, and as you feel better about yourself people responding to you more favourably.
Imagine connecting with others effortlessly, actually enjoying yourself socially.
Unlocking your true self can benefit your career, health, relationships, and most importantly, your overall happiness and fulfilment in life.
Realistic expectations are that you continuously feel better about yourself, stronger, more confident, less anxious overall, and have less and less situations that trigger the anxiety response within you.
In between sessions you can speed up the process by doing the exercises I suggest, tailored to your specific situation. They are typically tapping exercises that are simple to do and yet they enhance and build on the healing process that has been set into motion during our sessions.
The next time we meet we evaluate how you’re doing and we attempt to get rid of things preventing you from feeling safe socially.
