It means you acknowledge that you have a problem. Which is scary as hell. And it also means that you then really have to take steps to overcome your problem. Which might be even scarier!
But, it’s still most probably the right decision.
When you are stuck and can’t get out of some situation, it’s best to get help from an expert. Someone who knows how to solve your problem. And there are always solutions to the problems you have. And yes, there are also solutions for social anxiety.

To help you taking the first step you might speak and ask for support from someone that cares about you. Maybe someone in your family or a close friend. Maybe even someone on the internet.
Although this is not necessary, it might support you in taking action.
My advice would be to get help with social anxiety as quick as possible. Then once you have that social anxiety help arranged you can also work on overcoming your social anxiety yourself.
This way you get help from an expert so you know you are doing the right thing, and you are working on overcoming it yourself. This way you’ll get the fastest and best results possible.
