Conversation Exercises For Conversation Confidence

Conversation Topics Mastery Part 1/2:

A great and fun way to train yourself to talk of just about any topic is to do these conversation exercises.

They teach you be creative and to think in the moment.

I learned how to do this when I first joined Toastmasters; a non-profit public speaking organization (where they not only let you practice and improve speaking publically, they also have you do various conversation exercises to build your conversation confidence.).

They would ask you to come to the stage and speak for one minute about a random topic they gave you.

These conversation exercises are just about the same. It’s best to do this with at least one other person, but you can practice this by yourself as well.

The 2 Converversation Exercises:

#1:
Write down each of the 24 conversation topics from this page on a piece of paper. One topic on one piece of paper. Then you fold the piece of paper so you can’t see which topic is on there and you hustle the papers so you won’t know which is which.

Once hustled, you randomly pick one of the papers and you try to speak about the topic you picked for 10 seconds. Then you take another one piece of paper and you speak of that one. Then another one etc.

When you get good at this, you increase the amount of time that you speak of the topics. You go for 20 seconds, then for 30 seconds. Etc.

Doing these conversation exercises builds your conversational confidence as you get used to telling longer and longer stories. It also increases your intuitive thinking and ease of bringing up memories.

If you play the conversation topics game with 2 or more people the game is the same. It’s just that you improve quicker as you are speaking in front of an audience.

This way you learn to deal with the pressure of being in the spotlight.

A way to completely feel comfortable being in the spotlight, effortlessly conversing with people and telling stories, is to get rid of the negative emotions associated to it.

“I feel lighter and am even starting to inertact with people at work who I never could talk with much before. And this is without really trying and pushing myself to.”

-Sean

You can achieve this by letting go of any social anxiety, using the Social Confidence System.

#2:

This second one of the conversation exercises you can only do with two people.

It’s really simple. One person start to tell a story. Once the story is told, the other party uses the last word from the story and starts his story on that word.

Person 1: Last weekend I went to the grocery store and…

… That’s the last time I buy cucumbers!

Person 2: Cucumbers are not particularly my favorite food…

… And I found out I actually liked it.

Person 1: It’s so nice to go to the beach on a sunny day… Etc.

Try, if you can, to tell stories that truly happened to you. This way you train your brain to immediately come up with similar stories.

If you are looking for a permanent solution to not knowing what to say or how to react and to completely overcome your social anxiety BY YOURSELF from the comfort of your own home, my unique Social Confidence System is exactly what you are looking for.

Beware as this is not a simple change your thoughts, think optimistic, face your fears program… This system changes you at a deep level, eliminating your social anxiety for good. Try it out risk-free!
